We are a group of youth volunteers in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. Our aim is to improving health, environment and cultural integration by collaborating with the city council, business community, public offices and non profit organizations for sustainable city development.
We train youth aged between 12-20 to become a valuable human resource as volunteers for socio- economic, health and environment development in the city we live, learn and work.

Rational
Our-world increasingly facing climate, health, cultural and economic problems makes large number of people moving to cities for socio economic needs. Lack of awareness among people about city health, environment, cultural and economic development processes has excluded their participation in city development activities.
Youth who live and study in the city are a key group potential to become volunteers to inspire peers, parents and teachers for city health, environment, culture and economic development. However there is a lack of support, facilities, resources and training for youth lead activities to improve the city.
YES~City of Youth project address this issue by creating a youth lead platform for city development by collaborating with city council, business, and public and non profit organizations.
